The objective for iScoopy Pal™ is simple; a dog poop scooper which minimizes feel and sight, improves handling and transporting, and promotes safe practices for the protection of our ecosystem. From the years I have spent observing dogs and their owners, I have found that owners are willing and able to perform almost any task on behalf of the happiness of their dogs. Cleaning up after their companions is a task that is performed daily and with a lot of care. Unfortunately, little advancement has been made to improve pet waste management products that dog owners commonly use. While dog poop bags have evolved from homemade to commercially available plastic bags, these products are devoid of the basic utilities necessary of poop scoopers. The feel of warm and mushy dog poop is unpleasant. Plastic bags are common solutions but are inadequate as a barrier from contact and lack sufficient thickness to eliminate feel. Using recycled paperboard as the design material,  iScoopy Pal™ has a thickness of at least 20 times that of plastic bags. It also exemplifies a light, flexible, ergonomic design customized for the human hand yet sturdy enough for scooping dog poo. Existing pet waste management products expose the unpleasant view of dog poo while scooping. iScoopy Pal™ alleviates sight during and after scooping by enclosing the dog poop. By providing a visual barrier between the dog owner and the poop, iScoopy Pal™ lessens an unpleasant task.

Plastic bags pose a high cost that our environment has to pay for thousands of years to come. They do not biodegrade; they are just reduced into smaller and smaller fragments. iScoopy Pal ™ is manufactured with recycled paper or paper in compliance with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative®. Recycled paper is a viable alternative source to petroleum based materials. With proper disposal, iScoopy Pal™ will decompose within a reasonable time frame.

The handling and transporting of poop bags are inadequate.
